Registration

Woodstock United is the travel arm of the Woodstock Soccer Club.  As such, players on travel teams must sign up for both regular soccer and travel soccer.  Sign-up happens the spring and summer before the fall season in which you want to play.  So, for instance, you need to sign up in April through June of 201o in order to play travel soccer in the fall of 2010.

Registration is not always open, so please check with a coach before continuing with this registration process.

To register for Travel soccer, follow these instructions:

  • Check with the team’s coach to make sure there is room for your player.
  • go to SportsSignup.com and fill out the online registration form. Please do this as early as you can so we can determine team rosters. A registration note will be forwarded to the club’s registrar.  Not that the SportsSignup system is set up like an online “store”, and so you must go all the way through a sort of “order” processes to check out.  We do not handle our accounting through this system, so it always shows money due, but you do not need to worry about online payments or “past due” payments (if you’re a returning player or coach).
  • The fee for 2010 travel soccer is $250.00, which should be sent to the registrar via check made out to Woodstock United Soccer Club.  You may opt to pay half the fee in the fall and half in the spring (we’ll remind you when spring season rolls around). Registration covers both fall and spring soccer. The fee covers paying for referees at each home game.  It also covers the registration fee to Woodstock Soccer Club, which provides uniforms and a parent organization for us, and it covers insurance and the necessary fees to East Hudson Youth Soccer.  Make sure the registrar has
  1. a check for $250.00 (if you’d like to break up the payment, please pay an initial $125 and we’ll bill you for the remainder as the season progresses).
  2. a recent, passport-sized photo of your player — a digital photo is highly encouraged as it makes the job easier for us and for the East Hudson league office.
  3. proof of age for your player (generally a birth certificate, but a passport also works).  Again, if you can scan the ID and provide a digital copy, that makes the job easier for us as well!!
  4. Go to the Woodstock Soccer Club site and sign up for regular soccer.  The fee for WSC is included in your Woodstock Travel signup.  WSC provides us with insurance and uniforms as well as AYSO membership and all that it brings.

Registering to Coach:

When you are registering your player you will have to register as the player’s parent.  At that time the SportsSignup System will offer you an option to register yourself as coach or assistant coach.  Select the appropriate one.  In addition, please fill out East Hudson’s Risk Management Form at their website.  This will submit a background check and make it possible for you to be on the field with the players.

The coaching fee is quite small, and the club covers it.
